Terms of Trade:

While we have few terms of trade, it is important to note some basics…

Firstly, a verbal  agreement is a contract between two parties and Shuffle Shop agree to uphold our part of all contracts.  Written contracts can be signed by both parties if either party requests a written contract. Shuffle Shop agree to conduct themselves in a civilized and business-like manner and to adhere to terms of any written or verbal contract.

Special Requirements: If you have any special requirements, please ensure that they are made clear at the time of booking.

Bookings: will be honoured by both parties. If, for some reason, a booking is cancelled, reasonable notice is required. Normal NZ Musicians Union terms are 7 days notice of cancellation unless cancellation is due to illness, injury, or worse. Failure to give appropriate notice of cancellation is deemed breach of contract and a cancellation fee is payable not exceeding the value of the performance cancelled.

Performance: Normally either 3 or 4 hours with breaks every hour not exceeding 15 minutes each. These details can be modified to suit your event.

Refreshments for performers: It is normal practice that performers will be given a limited number of alcoholic drinks at no charge, and that softdrinks, juice, and water are provided free of charge.  We are not heavy drinkers and treat these arrangements with respect. If there are no free refreshments, our fee will increase by $80 for Shuffle Shop, $40 for The Shuffle Brothers, or, $20 for Shop Solo.

Rates: Rates vary based on length of performance, distance from Nelson, line-up for performance, and equipment needed for performance. Here is some indication of rates…
Solo performance rates are from $225.00 to $450.00 in the Nelson/Marlborough region.
Shuffle Brothers rates are from $325.00 to $550.00 in the Nelson/Marlborough region.
Shuffle Shop Blues Band rates start from  $700.00

Other details: As agreed by both parties at the time of agreement, may or may not include refreshments, food, accommodation etc. depending on circumstances and location.
