Yet another demo of new Shuffle Shop original music. This one features some footage of hot rods and muscle cars at the Beach Hop earlier this year
Pump, latest in Shop’s Song Book
Walking, this is really an instrumental, or maybe a one word song – Hope you enjoy it.
Slow Dance. This week’s effort, featuring Rowan Strickland on bass guitar and The Shop on guitars, vocals, and percussion
The Strickland Shuffle. Another of our new song demos, this one was initially written by Rowan, and also has some harmonica courtesy of our good friend Sam Kuperman.
Shooting Yard – This song was written on the 18th of June, recorded in my room yesterday 20th of June. Same deal as How ’bout that, guitars and the stomp box and nothing else. Anyway, have a listen and tell me what you think.
How ‘Bout That – Here’s a song I wrote 2 days ago. Recorded in my bedroom with limited gear, percussion is not drums but 3 seperate takes on my small stage “Stomp Box”, and bass is actually a guitar. I can’t define the genre – it’s not blues, but somehow related to blues and has a definite New Zealand feel to it. The song is about my Ducati, what could be a be a better topic!
Short videos, links to Youtube, Shuffle Shop Blues Band and The Shop, Nelson, New Zealand.
These links are temporary, we have very little video of Shuffle Shop, and only from our third performances.
These files feature our previous drummer. The video was shot by Rowan’s daughter as a family momento, we intend to include some more up-to-date material soon. In the meantime, feel free to check out the videos below.
A short excerpt from NightBird, original Shuffle Shop Rock
Devil In a Black Dress. Excuse the video quality, this is the whole song and in low quality format. This is the first time Paul D played with us:
